Protist community flowcam data from the K-Axis voyage of the Aurora Australis, January-March, 2016

The data set consists of the FlowCAM vignette images and associated files of particles (e.g. protists, zooplankton, inorganic particles) sampled during the K-AXIS (Kerguelen Axis) cruise (Aurora Australis Voyage 3, 2016) from the CTD rosette and underway seawater line. All images selected as non-identified or unwanted particles have been removed from this clean dataset. Calibration and particle library (identified objects) are also included. The "KAXIS_FlowCAM_logsheet.xlsx" file describes all sampling information. This dataset includes: - Calibration files: vignettes (.tif), run settings (.txt), raw flowcam files (.edg, .ctx, .lst) and particle properties (.csv) - Data CTD files: e.g. "ctd00_D_90_col_clean" refers to CTD number 00; D = deep (S = shallow, I = Intermediate); 90 = sample pre-filtration (µm); col = collage (eq. "vignette); clean = data were cleaned from unwanted particles (e.g. fibres, dust) - Data underway sampling files: "UW03_col_clean" refers to underway sample number 3. Contains the same set of files then CTD folders. - Library files: e.g. "LIB_CTD90FOC": refers to the vignettes library for the CTD samples imaged with the 90 µm Flow cell (FOC or FC). Contains the collage images (.tif) and the FlowCAM raw files (.edg, .flb) - The logbook "KAXIS_FlowCAM_logsheet.xlsx" contains all sampling and processing information
